A Good Morning!

Good morning to all my HAUTE people! Today has been a good day. It is the start of a new year, well working year that is, since the year officially started five days ago. I started this blog because I felt that it needed to be done. Not that anyone else couldn’t do it or that I feel like my style is better than the next person’s but I do feel like I am a true bargain shopper who loves that she is a compulsive shopper. Yesterday I went shopping and had a slight debate with my aunt who was with me. She says I have enough clothes that I don’t have to repeat an outfit for at least three months. Then she proceeds to tell me that every time I buy something I should donate at least one item out of my closet. After I gave her the look of death I almost blurted out obscenities and told her she must be crazy! Not that I do not take clothes to the Goodwill, I do. However I binge probably one good time each year. Everything left in my closet I can wear and will wear at some point. Just because I am blessed with a keen eye for a sale does not mean that I have a problem!
Today was an even better day after I spoke with one of my sorors. Shout out to Soror J. Brazile for the wonderful contact! She just introduced me to another Soror who owns a fashion pr firm! I think everyone is pushing me to do this blog more than I am myself. Don’t get me wrong I want to do it otherwise I would not have started it, but I am so afraid of failure. Which is why I guess in 2009 I’ve decided to make my mantra read: nothing will go undone in 2009. So here goes! Please bear with me; this will get better with time. We have only been up and running for a week!

Today’s outfit:
Black High Waist Skirt (Forever 21)
Black Long Sleeve Shirt (Anne Taylor)
Black Kenzie Tights (Ross Dress for Less)
Mustard Wide-arm Vest (Vintage)
Black Patent Leather Heels –Gianni Bini (Dillard’s)
Leopard Purse (Aldo)

I will discuss the Gianni Bini heels. They are the best simply put! If you consider yourself a fashion diva (I know I do) this is the best investment you could ever make! The shoes were a splurge; I bought them back in November at Dillard’s for about $100. Which might I add is the first pair of shoes I have ever broken 3 digits on when purchasing. But, nevertheless they are sooo comfortable; it feels like walking on air! I absolutely love these shoes! Let’s not even discuss the tights which got me too many compliments for the day.

I am in love with these tights and going to Ross after work today to see what they might have. Gorgeous!
